Refurbished in 2019, Casa Calma is an ideal option for groups of up to 8, with four good bedrooms and a fifth smaller room. The focus on the ground floor is the good-size living area (sitting-room and dining area), which is linked to the kitchen by a bar. This whole area has access onto the covered terrace and views of the pool. In fact, as you enter through the tattered-chic front door you are straight into the living area with the terrace on your right and a glimpse of the pool straight ahead of you. It is a wonderful airy space, which lends itself to family-holiday living. The decoration is light and bright, the emphasis being on whites, pale pastels, and lots of glass (including the very cool dining table). On the ground floor, there is also one of the double bedrooms and the fifth smaller room, both with their own bathrooms (not ensuite). Upstairs, there are three more bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins). Two of these have access to a shared terrace and a small, but nice, sea view through the neighbouring pines. They are perfectly positioned for the evening sun, and the terrace makes an idea spot for a quiet evening drink! One of these has a bathroom ensuite and the other shares a bathroom.
Outside, the brand new 5x10m pool dominates. It has been positioned close to the house, in order to combine it comfortably with the covered terrace and also to ensure that it gets the best of the sun. As a result, it gets plenty of warmth, even in the spring and autumn months. In the rest of the garden, there is ample shade from the pines for the hotter months. There is also plenty of lawn space for running around. An optional pool fence is available. This separates the back garden (with pool) from the front garden.
It is 400m to the local shop, pharmacy, bar, and childrens’ playground. Roche also has its own tennis courts and five-a-side football pitches. In the summer months, there are several beach bars/restaurants to choose from, and within a 5-10 minute drive you have a larger selection of places to eat all year round. The area offers an endless list of activities, information on many of which you will find here on our website and on our Facebook page. And if you book with us, we provide you with detailed information on all our recommendations, details on local amenities, and our up-to-date guide to the best of everything! You could spend a wonderful holiday here without a car, and just hire bikes; but, assuming you will have a car, it’s 15 minutes to Conil, 20 minutes to the hill-top village of Vejer-de-la-Frontera, 30 minutes to Cadiz, 40 minutes to Tarifa and Jerez, and 90 minutes to Seville, all of which are well worth visiting. So, it’s good to have a car and probably worth coming for two weeks rather than one!!!!
