You sense that the owners truly love this house and it is certainly not one of those 'holiday lets' that serve to supplement the owners income. You really do feel privileged to be sharing their home.
The facilities are superb, the kitchen is equipped with all the modern appliances, there is high speed internet, satellite television, with the option to change languages if Spanish is not you first, board games and as I've already mentioned plenty of books.
This house is all about the great outdoors. We walked for miles along the cliff tops, through forests and along deserted beaches. We ate tapas is traditional bars and enjoyed the local wines, returning each day to a warm (very efficient central heating in winter) house and enjoying fabulous sun sets over the ocean.
As a well seasoned traveler, I have had the pleasure & displeasure to stay in many places all around the world. This is more than a five star hotel, this is a rare treat. This house is all you can wish for.
I came away from my week in the house feeling totally refreshed and wishing I had booked a second week. We can all associate ourselves with post holiday blues but Golmar doesn't just give you the blues, it makes you think long and hard about what is important in life and I still can't stop thinking about that wonderful week.
