Casa del Médico is an ideal house for families travelling with children. The six bedrooms and 4 bathrooms make the accommodation very flexible, and the large garden and big fenced pool (11x5) are a luxury! It is 700 metres to the perfect Atlantic beach (all 8km of it), and just 400 metres to a good playground, tennis courts, basketball and football areas, and a few bars for the less active! Next to these, you will also find a pharmacy and a minimarket (with fresh bread). So all this is within easy walking distance, or better still, you can use the 4 bikes that the owners leave at the house.

The house is a mix of modern and traditional Andalusia. That is to say, it is highly functional (good-size kitchen that opens directly onto the large covered terrace and easy-access bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor), but at the same time offers a number of traditional features (terracotta tiles, whitewashed walls, and plenty of welcome cool). The 1,500m2 garden is far larger than the norm in Roche, and offers plenty of sun and shade, both in the pool enclosure and on the main lawns, which provide plenty of space for games.  There are north-facing and south-facing terraces, the latter being the main one, with its large dining table (seats 10-12), sitting area, and built-in BBQ. There is also room here for the ping-pong table!

The kitchen is well equipped.  There is satellite TV, and DVD and CD systems as well as broadband internet connection and an i-Pod dock. There is off road parking for two cars, although these can also be left safely on the street.

The house sleeps 10/12 comfortably in 6 bedrooms (3 doubles, one twin, 1 single, 1 children’s room with bunk bed), and 4 bathrooms (with an extra bathroom by the pool).

 

Accommodation at Casa del Médico is on two floors

Ground floor:  lovely high-ceilinged entrance hall, which, along with the open-plan sitting room, provides the house with its wonderful feeling of space. The semi -open-plan dining room (seats 8) is connected to the sitting room. Both of these open on to the 75m2 terrace, and then the garden and pool area beyond. For the cooler months, the sitting room has a nice open fire. The kitchen faces east, and a good breakfast table for 6 has been well placed to enjoy the early morning sun. There is a convenient back patio for leaving sandy shoes and beach toys! The far end of the ground floor contains one large double bedroom with its own (although not en suite) bathroom, and also a single bedroom with en suite bathroom (adapted for easy access). There is also a studio just off the hall, which can be turned into an extra bedroom if necessary.

First floor:  Two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, one children’s bedroom (with bunk bed), and two bathrooms.
