La Villa Eterna
La Villa Eterna, as its name suggests, is ageless. Built 20 years ago, with a distinct nautical twist to its design (different “decks” with handrails and stairs in stainless steel and teak), it is a little piece of 1970s California that looks totally in place on the 2020s Costa de la Luz. The house sits in the third line back from the beach, but the sound and view from the upper levels give the sensation of being a lot closer than the 100m from the sea. There is a beautiful garden with a lovely collection of mature trees, which create two distinctive and well protected spaces (front and back) for enjoying outdoor living at all times of the day and through the different seasons.
Accommodation is on two floors. The ground floor includes a large living space (sitting room and dining area) that opens directly onto the extensive pool terrace. Off the living area are two of the six bedrooms, one twin and one double, which share a bathroom. The good size kitchen opens onto the other side of the house, where there is another covered terrace with a second eating area and built-in BBQ. Next to the kitchen is a utility room and also a single bedroom with its own bathroom. The first floor contains the other three bedrooms, which include the main suite and another double and twin, which share a bathroom as on the floor below. There is also a snug/office with nice views of the sea.
La Villa Eterna is an ideal house for groups of friends and families. The spaces are generous both inside and out, and there are plenty of corners and even different levels for those who want a bit more privacy; as well as the clearly differentiated front and back gardens, there are two first floor terraces and also two third floor terraces from which there are even better views of the sea and the ships coming in and out of the Mediterranean.
A 400m walk will take you to the local shop, pharmacy, a couple of bars and restaurants, and a childrens’ playground. Roche also has its own tennis and padel courts and five-a-side football pitches. In the summer months, there are several beach bars/restaurants to choose from within walking distance, some of which are now staying open all year. A 5-minute drive will then provide you with a far larger selection of both bars and restaurants. The area offers an endless list of activities, information on which you will find here on our website, our Instagram and on our Facebook page. And if you book with us, we provide you with detailed information on all our recommendations, details on local amenities, and our up-to-date guide to the best of everything! You could spend a wonderful holiday here without a car, and just hire bikes; but, assuming you will have a car, it’s 15 minutes to Conil, 20 minutes to the hill-top village of Vejer-de-la-Frontera, 30 minutes to Cadiz, 40 minutes to Tarifa and Jerez, and 90 minutes to Seville, all of which are well worth visiting.
